Ustadh Hamza Ibn Mohamed
Ustadh Hamza ibn Mohamed, originally from Northern Virginia, is a graduate of Mishkah University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic and Arabic sciences and is currently pursuing his Masters in Fiqh and Usool Al-Fiqh. He has dedicated many years to teaching Arabic and Islamic studies and has pursued traditional study under a number of distinguished scholars. Among them is Shaykh Dr. Mohamed Hasan Uthman, a globally recognized Arabic linguist with over 45 years of teaching experience, from whom he received multiple ijāzāt in classical grammar texts, including Al-Ājurumiyyah, Mutammimat al-Ājurumiyyah, Qatr an-Nadā, and Qawāʿid al-Iʿrāb.
He has also read to Shaykh Saami al-Mecci, a former instructor at Al-Masjid al-Harām in Makkah, and studied under Dr. Shaykh Mohamed Abdul Aziz Abu Naja, an Al-Azhar graduate with over 35 years of teaching and fatwa experience, as well as Shaykhah Raw’ah Darwish ad-Dimashqiyah, a scholar specializing in Arabic, Hadith, and Qur’anic recitations.
Ustadh Hamza holds ijāzāt to teach several works of fiqh and uṣūl al-fiqh, including Bidāyat al-ʿĀbid, Akhṣar al-Mukhtaṣarāt, An-Naẓm aṣ-Ṣaghīr, Rasm al-Muftī, and Bulghat al-Uṣūl. With a strong foundation in the Islamic sciences and the Arabic language, he is committed to transmitting this knowledge and supporting students in achieving academic excellence and personal growth.
