Arabic 201: Intermediate Nahw and Sarf

This intermediate-level course builds upon the foundational knowledge gained in Arabic 101, advancing students’ skills in Nahw (syntax) and Sarf (morphology). Students will dive deeper into the complexities of Arabic grammar, exploring nuanced sentence structures, verb conjugations, and more intricate patterns of word formation.

With a focus on applying grammar rules to classical Arabic texts, particularly the Qur’an, this course is designed to strengthen students’ ability to analyze and interpret Arabic at a higher level. By the end of Arabic 201, students will be well-equipped to tackle complex Arabic sentences, enhancing their comprehension and translation skills.

“Learning the Arabic language through Al-Waraqaat feels like seeing color for the first time. I am able to unlock a deeper connection with the Qur’an that I didn’t realize I was missing... we are able to apply what we have learned in class and extrapolate benefits from the Qur’an and Hadith.”
