Al-Fiqh Al-Hanbali & Usool Al-Fiqh
Fiqh of Transactions
This two-year course offers a comprehensive study of one of the four major schools of Islamic law through a well-known Hanbali text. In this semester, students will learn Islam rulings that govern financial dealings and different contracts between people such as leasing, loans, endowments, wills, and much more. Wealth is a trust from Allah. This field ensure that its exchange and use occur in ways that protect individuals, prevent exploitation, and promote fairness in all of society. We’ll be using Akhsar Al-Mukhtasarat.
Usool Al-Fiqh
Usool Al-Fiqh is a foundational science that every aspiring faqeeh and student of knowledge must study. It equips students with the tools to extract rulings from the Qur’an, Sunnah, scholarly consensus, and other sources. Unique to this ummah, Uṣool al-Fiqh is a discipline that defines how legal methodology functions in Islam. This course will be offered as a one-year program, laying the groundwork for anyone who wants to truly understand how Islamic law is derived and applied.
